Nepalese cooking is influenced by Chinese and Indian cuisine. Meals are simple but rich.

The basic menu consists of a Nepalese dish of white rice (bath) and lentils (dal) in juice, served in a small bowl, which is mixed with rice to moisten and raise a little taste. He also regularly accompanies a vegetable curry (tarkari) and a mixture of spicy ingredients (pickles). This is the famous dal baht, the national dish eaten by the Nepalese morning and evening. Generally vegetarian, it can still be served with meat or chicken.

The higher you go in the north, over the Tibetan influence is felt in the kitchen, which consists mainly of soups and momos, dumplings with meat or vegetables, fried or steamed.
