Indonesia

As Indonesia is an archipelago, there are lots of fish and shellfish. Fish is, with rice, the staple of the diet. For understandable reasons (requires heat), it is most often dried, smoked.

The national dish by the name of Nasi Goreng: fried rice with eggs, small pieces of meat and vegetables, or shrimp. The food varies depending on the island. Spices also play an important role in the preparation of many dishes, including curry. In Indonesia, eating is to first fill his plate of rice and then, to add different accompaniments.

Rice is eaten usually simply boiled. It can also be cooked wrapped in a banana leaf or another, for example pandanier.
